Last week Quyen (owner of Assembly), and I went live on Instagram!
What’s Instagram Live? It’s a feature on Instagram Stories that allows us to stream video to followers
and engage with them in real time! Our followers can comment & ask questions along the way!
Awhile back, Quyen asked me if I would want to go live on Instagram, and my immediate response was.. “Nah.”
I’ll be honest, I’m not a huge fan of public speaking, and even though this is more ‘behind the scenes’ public speaking,
I think my initial response is to pass. Even though I’m a goof and sometimes obnoxious, I gravitate towards the
couch at the end of the day with a glass of wine allllll by myself.
Quyen put some feeeeelers out there on her social media asking her followers if they would be interested in hearing
her & I talk biz. I met her for a drink at Muse to chat the details. Lisa Young snapped quite a few photos, and the ideas
were FLOWING BABY. Apparently I flipped a switch, and soon we had pen to paper with a list of topics we could discuss.
I have Quyen to thank for including me in on her idea, not giving up, and making it happen - Cheers girl!
We gathered questions from our followers a few weeks prior to our big debut, and we had quite the list of topics to discuss!
It was SO. MUCH. FUN. We weren’t able to get through all of the questions, but that’s a great reason to continue!
We definitely have some future goals & ideas up our sleeve, but always find it fun to see what the viewers want to hear & see from us!
